1️⃣ Boosting posts instead of creating proper campaigns Boosted posts might get you likes and views, but they’re NOT optimised to get leads or sales. You need a campaign strategy built inside Ads Manager with clear objectives and conversion tracking.

2️⃣ Sending ad traffic to a disconnected or leaky funnel No clear path = no conversions. Your funnel should guide someone from seeing your ad → becoming a lead → making a purchase. If your funnel has gaps or isn’t aligned with your ad messaging, you’re losing potential customers.

3️⃣ Letting the algorithm do all the targeting ‘Advantage+ audiences’ sound convenient, but they can tank your results if you’re not careful. Instead, build custom audiences based on your warm traffic, ideal client interests, and customer journey.

4️⃣ Using copy that’s all about YOU (not your audience) If your ad talks only about your program and what it includes, it won’t convert. Great ads focus on your ideal client’s pain points, desires, and transformation — that’s what gets clicks.

5️⃣ Not tracking your numbers or making data-driven decisions Throwing money at ads without knowing your CPL, CTR, or conversion rate? That’s gambling, not marketing. Know your numbers, so you can tweak what’s not working and double down on what is.

Fixing these 5 things can turn your ad results around fast. I’ve seen it with my clients again and again - we go from $10+ leads down to $2 or less, just by tightening up their strategy.

1️⃣Time - yes I am sorry to tell you that having a huge successful launch first up is very rare unless you have a huge loyal follower base already established. Successful launches come from trial and error and repeating them over and over again and improving on each launch. This was Client 1’s fifth launch. This was Client 2’s first launch.

2️⃣Fast action pivots - being prepared to make small changes and pivot as necessary during a launch to improve the results. It is important to keep a close eye on the data so any changes made are purely driven by the data (and not emotion) Client 1 made changes to a webinar title to improve the cost per lead which meant more leads to launch to.

3️⃣Holistic marketing strategy - Client 1 had a very strategic marketing plan that ensured all touch points in the marketing were all focused around the launch and included podcast episodes, social media marketing, email marketing along with Facebook and Instagram ads.

4️⃣Ongoing lead generation - Client 1 continues to attract new leads and nurture all leads in between launches. Lead generation shouldn’t just be a part of your strategy doing the launch period, it needs to be ongoing 24/7 all year round.

5️⃣Data driven decisions - Look in-depth at your data from your previous launch and determine what can be improved on based on what the data is showing you. Just an improvement of 2% on a landing page conversion, for example, can make a big difference in the final results of a launch.

It’s not hard but it comes down to two things that many people aren’t prepared to do - time and persistence… Just make sure you don’t give up. You’ve got this!
