If you receive a lot of direct messages you will know that to reply in length can be time-consuming when doing it from the Instagram app on your phone.
A tiny screen and small keypad for larger fingers don’t work the best for me when there is many messages to reply to.
The good news is you can now reply to your Instagram direct messages and reply to comments on your posts on your desktop. And you have 2 options for doing this so you can determine which works best for you.
Replying to DM’s and comments within Instagram on desktop
Simply login to Instagram on your desktop and navigate Instagram as you would on your phone.
You will see the aeroplane icon in the top right of your screen where you can access your direct messages to reply to.
You also have the heart icon where you will find your notifications so you can respond to respond to any comments made on your posts.
Replying to DM’s and comments within Facebook Business Manager on desktop
Firstly you will need to have your Instagram account connected to your Facebook page in Business Manager. If you haven’t don’t that yet, go to your Page Settings and you will see the Instagram option in the left hand column to connect Facebook and Instagram.
Once you have done that, simply go to your Inbox on your Facebook page and you will now see not only your messages for your Facebook page, you will also see your messages sent to your Instagram profile.
Access Facebook Page messages by clicking on “Messenger”. Access Instagram messages by clicking on “Instagram Direct”.
Plus you can also reply to comments that have been made on your posts on both Facebook and Instagram from here as well.
Personally, this is my favourite option as I find it easy to manage all communication and respond to followers all from the one place.
