You’ve got a course, coaching program, membership or service that gets great results for the people who go through it. People show up, do the work and get the transformation you promised. If that’s not true, that’s a completely different conversation.
But if you know your offer works, and you’re still sitting there wondering why more people aren’t buying it, I want you to look at two things. Just two. Your messaging, and the number of ideal clients actually seeing your offer.
It really can be that simple.
Why We Reach For The Wrong Fix First
When something isn’t selling, our natural reaction is to start changing everything. Maybe the offer needs a new bonus. Maybe the price needs to come down. Maybe it needs a new funnel, a new sales page, or a brand new course altogether.
Before you know it, you’ve spent the next three months rebuilding half your business when the offer itself was never actually the problem.
If your offer gets great results, there are really only two things that need to happen for someone to buy it.
The right person needs to see it.
And when they see it, the way you talk about it needs to make them want it. That’s it.
Start With Your Messaging
Your ideal client needs to see your marketing and immediately understand that what you’re talking about is relevant to them.
They need to recognise their problem, recognise the outcome they want, and feel like you understand what they’re experiencing right now, not what you, as the expert, know is happening underneath the surface, but what they believe is happening.
You can have the most incredible course in the world, but if the way you talk about it doesn’t connect with the person who needs it, they’re not going to buy it.
They might not even stop long enough to find out what it is.
This is where a lot of people try to fix the wrong thing. They assume people don’t want the offer, when really, people simply don’t understand why they need it.
Sometimes the messaging is too broad. Sometimes it’s focused on the process rather than the outcome, or on what you want to teach rather than the problem your ideal client actually wants solved.
Before you change your offer, look closely at how you’re talking about it. Would your ideal client read your messaging and think “that’s me, that’s exactly what I’m struggling with, that’s what I want”? If not, that’s the first thing to work on.
Then Check Who’s Actually Seeing It
Let’s say your messaging is good. You know your ideal client, you’re using their language, and you’ve got a strong offer that solves a problem they want solved.
Then we get to the second thing: how many of those ideal clients are actually seeing it? Great messaging can’t sell an offer if nobody sees it.
A lot of online businesses get stuck here. They’ve built the offer, the sales page and the funnel. They’re posting on Instagram, emailing their list, and waiting for sales to come in.
But a funnel doesn’t automatically create traffic. You still need a consistent flow of the right people entering it, not just when you’re launching or when sales are quiet.
For many business owners, the default strategy for getting more eyes on an offer is simply to post more. More sales, more leads, more visibility all get answered the same way: post more.
That quickly turns into an exhausting content treadmill, and you’re not fully in control of who actually sees what you create. You could spend an hour on a Reel that speaks perfectly to your ideal client, post it, and hope the algorithm decides to show it to them.
This is one of the reasons I combine organic marketing with paid advertising. It’s not one or the other. Organic content plays an important role in building trust and letting people get to know you, but ads give you something organic can’t offer in the same predictable way: distribution.
You can put your messaging in front of new ideal clients every single day, and you don’t need a huge budget to start.
The important part is that the ads aren’t operating in isolation. They support the entire marketing system, bringing new people into your world, helping you build trust with them, and eventually giving them the opportunity to work with you.
Final thoughts
If you have a course or coaching program that isn’t selling as well as you’d like right now, don’t assume you need a new offer.
Before you change anything, ask yourself two questions.
Is my messaging connecting with the exact person I want to buy this offer?
And are enough of those people actually seeing it?
If the answer to either is no, that’s exactly where to start.
Fix the messaging, then build a consistent system for getting it in front of more of the right people, one that doesn’t rely on you creating another piece of content every single morning just to keep the leads coming in.
If you’d like to see exactly how I do this, I’m running a free masterclass where I walk through my Meta™ Ads system in detail, including how I use ads with my done-for-you management clients to bring new ideal clients into their world, build trust, and turn them into paying clients.

I would love to hear your thoughts...
